“Sunset Festival” concert - “THE XX”

This will be the second year of “Sunset Festival”, but the origins of the festival are found in 2015, when jazz legend Richard Bona and extravagant British singer Roisin Murphy performed in Sigulda Castle.

“Sunset Festival” stands out from other festivals with an emphasis on the enjoyment of music in an unusual atmosphere and high-quality entertainment to people of different ages. This summer on Sigulda castle ruins stage everyone will be able to hear several internationally renowned artist concerts, in each of them will participate local or small – scale foreign musical stars.

About "The XX"

It is possible that a part of ordinary listeners got to know electronic indie rock trio “The xx” only this winter with their phenomenally popular hit “On Hold”. With the latest performance gentle, affected R & B Indie pop-rock that had already become the group's business card, have been supplemented with rich bass and club music bits. In several compositions ethereal guitar chords and timid vocals are replaced by fully convinced individual performance. It is reflected in music critic’s reviews which were laudatory about band’s style and originality in the beginning, but now they are talking about the trio affecting music development globally.

For each “Sunset Festival” concert day, there will be only 4’000 tickets on sale. Available limited number of tickets for 39.00 EUR, the next price category will be 49.00 EUR.
