Campsite "Apaļkalns"

The quiet campsite "Apaļkalns" near the Raiskuma lake is a good place to relax, fish, go for inspiring walks and boat or bicycle trips.

In the campsite "Apaļkalns" you will calmly enjoy the fabulous natural surroundings, listening to the clear sounds and watching the Raiskuma lake glinting in the sun, lush meadows and leafy trees.

In the campsite you can easily settle down in one of the holiday cottages or campsite houses, as well as use camper or tent sites.

You can enjoy a walk or bike ride along one of the eight meticulously arranged bicycle routes that will allow you to experience a unique adventure, leading you along natural, cultural and historical attractions of the Gauja National Park.

The shores of the Raiskuma lake are equipped with benches, so you can sit down for a moment, relax and comfortably enjoy the picturesque views of nature during your walk.

The wide Raiskuma lake is a good place to take a ride by boat or catamaran, as well as to swim and fish. The lake is home to delicious fishes, such as pike, perch, roach, bream, silver bream, tench, eel, rudd and ruff.

The campsite also offers an exciting canoe or kayak trip along the rocks and bends of the Gauja river from Valmiera to Sigulda. You can also go for an exciting kayak trip through the primeval Brasla minor river.
