This year, a unique cycle of rowing competitions (trilogy) GAUJAS MEŽONIS, intended for all boating and paddling enthusiasts, will start its first season in the context of the European region.
All three stages will take place in the Gauja river, especially in well-studied and beautiful sections of the river. All those who want to participate in the competition are invited, with any type of watercraft that can be powered only by muscle power.
Competition stages in 2024:
➔ April 27 - AGAINST THE STREAM (Līgatne - Cēsis, 19 kilometers)
The participants of the stage must measure the distance while driving against the stream along one of the fastest ones
Gauja river sections. Probably the first competition of its kind in Europe!
➔ June 28 - IN THE DARK (Valmiera - Cēsis, 45 kilometers)
Participants of the stage must cover the distance between Valmiera and Cēsis by driving along the river in summer
at night!
➔ September 29 - GOLDEN RIVER (Strenči - Cēsis, 69 kilometers)
A test of endurance for those who want to enjoy the golden autumn on the river!
The competition is organized by the association “Sporta un piedzīvojumu klubs INDIĀNIS”
Fee for participation in each of the stages:
35 EUR when registering up to the month of the competition stage.
45 EUR when registering in the month of the competition stage.
