The right tributary of the River Gauja has shaped a deep ravine with steep slopes, and at the lower reaches of this river there are sandstone outcrops (even around 4 m high). On the right (western side) of the ravine there is the Vikmeste hillfort covered by a forest. In 1990 a trail was developed along the river Vikmeste; its starting section is now reconstructed.
