The neo-baroque style Dikļu castle was built on the land of the old Dikļu manor. Its facade is beset with splendid decorations, while the top is adorned with aristocratic mansard roofs.
The beautiful surroundings of the castle are full of lively natural greenery. Like a solemn wreath, the surroundings adorn the landscaped park. Southerly the nearly 20-hectare park there is the Dzirnavu pond, which reflects the sunrise and sunset in soft light.
If you want to enjoy the picturesque views of nature you can sit down on one of the many park benches. If you go for a walk behind the pond, the path will lead you to the Mazbiede river, whose steep ravines home the picturesque Mežaparks.
The nature park of the Dikļu castle has well-groomed paths winding across, but its edges reveal different rare plants and perennial trees.
The park has more than 20 tree species, many of them have been staying aside the castle for more than 60 years.
