Campsite "Žagarkalns"

The campsite is located by the side of the beautiful Gauja river, where you can find a well-designed beach.

Overnight accommodation is available both in a comfortable family house and in convenient areas for tents and caravans, equipped with showers and WC. In the campsite, there is also a sand volleyball court, children's playground and picnic areas. Wireless Internet connection is also available in "Žagarkalns".

You can go for a boat trip along the Gauja river directly from the campsite. You can also rent all floating craft here. The choice is wide: from fast canoes and kayaks to safe rubber rafts for families with small children to large deck rafts for groups. The place is also suitable for hiking and cycling because it has a wide network of the Gauja nature trails passing along the mighty Spoguļu cliff and the natural rarity Dzidravots spring.

Going along a path by bike, which can be rented at the campsite, you can reach Cēsis in 20 minutes. Going to Cēsis by car will take 10 minutes. Cēsis is one of the most beautiful cities in Latvia, and it is famous for its the Medieval castle complex, the romantic Old Town, a number of summer cafes and a wide range of cultural events held in the modern acoustic concert hall, and the New Castle complex, where international professional art exhibitions take place in summer on a regular basis.

Prices for overnight accommodation

• Price for tent site with firewood and a table: 8.00 EUR per person per day
• Price for caravan site: 20.00 EUR (price includes 2 persons + electricity connection) + 8.00 EUR per addititonal person per day 
• Price for guest house per day: regardless of the number of people (maximum number of people: 2 adults + 2 children), on weekdays (Mon; Tue; Wed; Thu) – 70.00 EUR; at weekends (Fri; Sat; Sun) – 80.00 EUR
