Manor Stories – A Hike Through the Centuries! 24/08

Join us as we visit 12 historic manors – from the grand Cēsis Castle Manor with its New Castle, to the romantic little Valentīna Manor, also known as “Florida,” whose surroundings once reminded locals of American resorts.

You’ll hear stories about the strict rules of Bērzaines Gymnasium, the gallows at Jurģi Manor, and the valuable white clay of Glūda Half-Manor.

The hike will be led by Garais – the chief storyteller and trail expert of Cēsis, who always knows where the path leads, both literally and figuratively, and sees connections where others simply pass by.

This won’t be just a tour of “old buildings” – it’s a chance to dive into the history of Cēsis!
