For the eighth year, the International Valmiermuiža Ethnomusic Festival will bring together seekers of authentic experiences, as well as outstanding soloists and contemporary ethnomusic bands from Latvia, as well as from countries near and far. A diverse musical experience, ranging from traditional to contemporary ethnomusic music, will appeal to even the most demanding music lovers.
Musical programme: “Oratnitza” (Bulgaria), “Svjata Vatra” (Estonia/Ukraine), “Juuk” and Hasmik Bagoyan (Latvia/Armenia), “Slavic Folk Songs” by Ansis Bētiņš and Artūrs Čukurs (Latvia). Saulius Petreikis with the band (Lithuania), “Black Rooster Kapelye” (Latvia/USA/Germany), “Līgas pH3” (Latvia), “Dyrbyni” (Latvia), “Kaktu balles muzikanti” (Latvia).
Circus performers, a fire show, cuisine from different cultures, peaceful and restless recreation areas, visual arts events, entertaining educational workshops celebrating modern sustainability using ancient skills - the festival promises a range of diverse experiences and a great atmosphere for the whole family!
Entrance to the festival is free for children under 16 years of age.
