Miķeļdiena Harvest Festival, Concert and Market at Valmiermuiža

The celebration will offer much more than a chance to shop – it will also be an opportunity to discover local traditions and enjoy a day together. At 12:00, the traditional music group Alum Alu will add to the festive atmosphere with Latvian folk music and lively traditional dance tunes.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day. Children can take a ride on the Valmiermuiža carousel or enjoy horse riding. At the Brīvbode exchange point, visitors can give a second life to items they no longer need but which may still be useful to someone else. Together with LAUX, guests will also be invited to create cosy autumn decorations from natural materials.

From 11:30 to 13:30, the Valmiermuiža Park Classroom will host the “RAdiDAri” creative workshop “Pattern Prints. Stamps”. Children and young people aged 7 to 15 will use specially designed stamps inspired by fragments of historic wall paintings from Valmiermuiža Tower to create unique prints on fabric and paper.

During the festival, visitors can also enjoy a special Miķeļi seasonal lunch at the Valmiermuiža Beer Kitchen, featuring dishes prepared with the flavours and produce of the autumn harvest.
