Straupe Farmers’ Market is one of the most popular marketplaces in Latvia. Twice a month it brings together local farmers, domestic producers and craftsmen who sell home grown and home made goods.
In the Farmers' market, which is located in a cosy yard, you can purchase fresh, organically grown products such as various vegetables, fruit, berries, delicious cheeses, meat smoked according to ancient traditions, home-grown medicinal herb teas, home-made cakes and other delicacies. People particularly treasure the mellow home-made wines which you can enjoy together with goods purchased at the market.
Here you can purchase beautiful crafts too — sturdy wooden cutting boards and spoons, traditional clay mugs and bowls, hand-made wicker baskets, hand-woven table cloths and linen clothing, as well as knits with traditional Latvian patterns and symbols.
The goods purchased at the market will bring you pleasant memories of the things seen and experienced on your trip!
