Bird-Watching in Jērcēnmuiža park

April 23 from 9.30 We invite bird friends and researchers to gather in Jērcēnmuiža. Together with ornithologist Ruslan Matrozis, we will learn to listen to and recognize birds in the Jērcēnmuiža park, where storks and owls, woodpeckers and woodpeckers, woodpeckers, thrushes and various other birds have settled. Bird watching is a great way to spend your free time. You don't have to be an ornithologist to watch the birds, but ornithologists can help us learn about this exciting hobby.

Historical sources say that Baron Adelbert von Kridenen of Jērcēnmuiža made a great contribution to the development of ornithology in Latvia, as he was one of the first bird researchers, wrote several books and in 1912 participated in the establishment of the Riga Zoo as a consultant on birds. R. Matrozis has studied the course and contribution of Baron Criedener to ornithology. He will tell the audience more about his research on April 23 in Jērcēnmuiža.

The organizers promise exploratory lessons for the youngest visitors of the event and advice for photo enthusiasts on how to create environmentally friendly bird feeders for a successful and beautiful photo hunt.

To attend the event, please apply in advance at the Jērcēni Parish Library or by phone 28645054.

This year marks the 165th anniversary of Baron Kridener, so the events organized in Jērcēnmuiža are dedicated to this event. The event of friends of birds "Birds in Jērcēnmuiža 100 years ago and today" will be the first event of the 165th anniversary of Baron Kriedener.

The event is supported by Valmiera municipality, Nature Protection Board, association "Esam Jērcēniem".
