17.10.2025
From 13 to 15 October 2025, partners and participants of the Introduction of Nature and Culture Sites for Locals and Visitors (INACS) project gathered for a three-day international workshop spanning Latvia and Estonia. The event aimed to strengthen cooperation among regional stakeholders, plan digital tools for cultural and nature tourism, and highlight unique local heritage sites across the Baltic region.

Day 1 – Monday, 13 October 2025

The program started with first project workshop session focusing on the design of the INACS digital platform and project coordination.
The day concluded with a joint dinner at Hotel Sigulda restaurant, providing participants an opportunity to network and exchange ideas in an informal setting.

Day 2 – Tuesday, 14 October 2025

The second day started in Sigulda Castle quarter, observing the splendor autumn and historical building complex.

The program continued in Līgatne village, where participants explored the historic village caves and met with a local entrepreneur from Līgatne Winery. As the sandstone cellar caves are planned to be digitally recorded for the new platforms, partners had a great chance to see it in reality.

The Project Workshop Part 2 continued discussions on digitalisation, including video production, formats, and strategies for implementation, marketing, and audience engagement.

After lunch at Rucka Manor in Cēsis, the group visited Cēsis to learn more about its local culture and history together with an excellent guide by Latvian Routes. The day concluded with travel to Tartu, Estonia.

Day 3 – Wednesday, 15 October 2025

The final day began with morning session in Alatskivi at Kivi Kõrts. Over coffee, participants discussed local nature and cultural attractions and planned future activities. The group also visited Alatskivi Castle and its park before continuing towards Mustvee, with a stop in Kallaste on the Lake Peipsi coast.

The final workshop session on nature and cultural sites digitalization took place at the Peipsimaa Museum in Tiheda village

The aim of the current project is to develop the FinBaltic 360 joint cross-border online platform and public service, which addresses the above mentioned problems, and uses the latest technology such as 360° videos, drones, and virtual reality for presenting the relevant nature and cultures sites to the youth, citizens, and tourists. As a public service, it also provides informational materials, routes and excursions targeted especially for youth in schools as well as assistance in finding the sites.
