Summer Solstice at Mākoņi begins on 20 June — with fire, clay and the power of togetherness. Every year on this day, the black clay kiln Devoniņš is fired, where more than a hundred pieces are created — mugs, bowls, plates and other works that bring the true Summer Solstice feeling to life.

Celebrate Summer Solstice in Turaida with a full day dedicated to ancient traditions, rituals, workshops, music and togetherness under the motto “Over the Hill” (Pār kalniņu).
