Gauja National Park in the largest tourism exchibitions: Vakantiebeurs and MATKA

Starting the year of 2023, Enter Gauja National park will participate in international tourism exhibitions in the Netherlands and Finland in order to promote the tourism offer of the Gauja National Park at the Latvian National Stand.
From 11th - 15th January the Gauja National Park Tourist Association will participate in the international tourism and leisure exhibition "Vakantiebeurs 2023" in the Dutch city of Utrecht. On the first day of the exhibition, industry professionals are expected and contacts for further cooperation are established. "Vakantiebeurs" is one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Europe, whose target audience and visitors are end consumers. In 2020, the Vakantiebeurs exhibition was visited by 100,797 visitors, and the exhibition has been organized in the city of Utrecht since 1970.
 
From 19th - 22nd January Enter Gauja will participate in the Nordic tourism exhibition "MATKA Nordic Travel Fair" in the Finnish city of Helsinki. MATKA is the largest tourism fair/exhibition in Northern Europe, bringing together almost 1,000 tour operators, destinations, tourism organizations, 1,050 media representatives and bloggers, and 80,300 visitors from over 89 countries.
 
Tourism specialists of Valmiera, Cēsis and Sigulda regions and the Enter Gauja office will present the Gauja National Park tourism brand "Enter Gauja" at international tourism exhibitions at the Latvian national stand in the Netherlands and Finland.
 
From 14th - 22nd January, the tourism offer of the Gauja National Park will be presented at the CMT Stuttgart 2023 tourist exhibition dedicated to the theme of vacation in the German city of Stuttgart. In 2020, the CMT exhibition gathered 300,000 visitors and 2,261 exhibitors from 100 countries.
 
Since 2012, municipalities located in the territory of the Gauja National Park - Sigulda, Cēsu and Valmiera, as well as members of Enter Gauja - have been implementing a strategy for the Gauja National Park as a unified tourist destination.
 
Participation in tourism exhibitions and fairs is organized in cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency and the support of the European Regional Development Fund.
 
On 05.07.2016, the Gauja National Park Tourism Society has concluded contract no. SKV-TL-2016/22 with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency for receiving support within the framework of the "Promotion of International Competitiveness" event, which is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
