Barrel Museum

The Barrel Museum offers visitors the chance to see barrels and participate in barrel making together with the cooper, revealing the secrets of cooperage.

For centuries, barrels were used for preparation and storage of various beverages, as well as for cabbage and cucumber pickling.

The coopers of the Barrel Museum skilfully make durable oak barrels, using several secrets and tricks of the handicraft inherited from past generations.

The museum offers to see different barrels and cooperage tools that bear unusual names.

If you wish, you can learn all the exciting secrets of cooperage under the guidance of the cooper – preparation of the material, barrel making, welding, fitting and spectacular toasting. In addition, you will be able to actively participate in this process and take home the barrel made by your own hands!
