From July 10 to 13, Valmiera will become the BMX capital, as the city hosts one of the year's most significant sporting events – the European BMX Cycling Championship – bringing together athletes and fans from across Europe.
From 18 to 19 July, Cēsis invites everyone to the traditional celebration “Cēsis 819”, offering a wide-ranging programme of cultural, entertainment and family activities throughout the city centre – from Castle Park and Castle Square to Rožu Square and Rīgas Street. This year, the festival takes place in a special atmosphere, as Cēsis holds the title of Latvian Capital of Culture 2025, and the celebrations will be a vivid reflection of this status.
